SDMC - Shared Decision Making Committee
The Bellaire High School PTO supplies 4 members of the Bellaire HS SDMC. The President of the PTO is automatically a member, and the PTO membership elects 3 additional members for staggered 2 year terms. These representatives bring the perspective of parents to the committee, which also includes faculty and staff personnel.
This committee, which meets once or more each month, assists the Principal with decisions regarding
PTO Representatives attend the meetings (which are open to anyone), and then report back during regular PTO meetings on what is under discussion. This information is a good way to find out about what issues are facing the school, and what is being done about them.
