PTO PRESIDENT WELCOME LETTER 2023-2024
Dear Parents, Guardians, BHS Teachers & Staff,
Welcome back to Bellaire Senior High School! For those of you who are just joining our community, we warmly welcome you.
This year, the BHS PTO is proud to announce that every parent or guardian of students enrolled at BHS, as well as teachers and professional staff, are members of the BHS PTO!
All are encouraged to participate in PTO activities, including attending general meetings and volunteer opportunities. **Please note, you will still need to sign-up for communication from BHS PTO, and we encourage you to do so here. We also love our volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form found here. You will also need to complete HISD’s required Volunteer in Public School (VIPS) training, which is available here.
Stronger Together!
One of the primary goals of the BHS PTO is to raise funds to support our entire community – students, teachers, administration, and facilities. By partnering with parents and businesses in our community, the BHS PTO raises funds for teacher grants, student summer scholarships, curriculum enrichment, teacher development, classroom support, technology upgrades, and facility maintenance and enhancement.
As the new school year begins, we ask for your support so that we can continue making resources and learning opportunities available to enrich and maximize the education of every student and to support BHS.
Some of the specific programs that the BHS PTO sponsors and/or supports include:
BHS is one of the finest high schools with rigorous academics and robust extra-curricular programs in HISD because of the strong school leadership and community partnership.
PTO General Membership Meetings
Meeting dates are typically the 3rd Thursday every other month at 6:00pm at Bellaire High School. This year’s dates are as follows:
