Prom and AfterProm
The Class of 2012 Prom will take place from 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19th in the ballroom of the Westin Galleria. The AfterProm will take place upstairs in the Westin Galleria Exhibit Hall immediately following the prom and lasting until 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 20th. It should be a wonderful, memorable and fun evening for our seniors to share before they graduate and move on.
All of the fundraising for the AfterProm is completed (thanks again to all of the many parents who helped with the various fundraising activities that have gone on over the past 3.5 years) and now we get to do the fun part which is planning and executing a great event for the kids! If you are able to help with the planning phase (securing entertainment, rentals, prizes, etc) which is going on right now, please contact one of us ASAP:

Kim Rexford krexford@rexfordcapital.com
Sign-up requests for volunteers to help the night of the event will follow later in the semester.

Volunteer Opportunities!
Class of 2012 Parents,
The school year is winding down but the senior class end-of-year activities are ramping up. All of the fundraising for the Afterprom is complete, contracts have been signed with facilities and vendors, now we need parent volunteers to help execute the actual event.
This Month
We need a few volunteers to help with some things that need to get done in preparation for the event:
Raffle tickets – we need someone to make and cut apart raffle tickets to be given in envelopes to each of the seniors as they enter the Afterprom. This will also require making labels with instructions and sticking one of those labels on each envelope.
Moneybooth money – we need someone to make (or find cheap) a whole lot of fake money to be used in the moneybooth.
Clothing check – we need someone to make or acquire some sort of tags for keeping up with the kids Prom clothes during the Afterprom. This person will also need to solicit grocery stores for paper bags to be used as a part of this process.
At The Afterprom (May 19th)
We need a lot of volunteers to help that night. There will be two shifts - from 11:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. and from 1:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.
# Needed # Needed
Area Early Shift Late Shift
Check-in / check-out of kids 10 4
Changing rooms 2M / 2F 0
Clothing check 6 3
Bingo 3 2
Karaoke 1 1
Moneybooth 1 1
Food monitors 3 2
Monitor at blocked exit 1 1
Wristband cutters at exit 2 2
Prize distribution 3 3
Note: There will also be a casino area for the kids to enjoy but we will have professional
dealers at the tables so no parent volunteers needed there.
To sign up for a shift or to ask questions about any of the jobs, please email or call Kay Burns at kayburns4@comcast.net or 713-667-7046.
Thanks,
