Are there unintended consequences, particularly in a time of shrinking budgets?Houston A+ Challenge welcomes Sherri McCord, Accountability Solutions Education Specialist for the Houston region's education service center (Region 4 ESC), for an engaging presentation on the intersection of policy and practice as local schools implement the new State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams, which will replace the TAKS.A panel discussion and audience Q&A will follow, featuring local educators from districts across the Houston region.Special thanks to Chevron
